Silhouette Art at an Edwardian Event

Cutting Silhouettes for the National Trust.  On the 3rd of May (Bank holiday Monday), I will be entertaining with the rare art of silhouette cutting at Polesden Lacey in Dorking.

"Lavish house parties and discrete liaisons"

Once home to legendary Edwardian millionaires Lady Margaret Greville, Polesden Lacey was notorious for providing the backdrop for lavish house parties and discrete liaisons. These days this grand house is owned by the National Trust, who hosts slightly less wild but just as fun events.

I've already worked at this venue for their annual Valentines event which was a great success, and I'm very much looking forward to returning.

Silhouette Cutting fits in Perfectly with an Edwardian Theme

The National Trust seem to really love my silhouettes and think a silhouette artist is very in-keeping with the Edwardian style of the property. Well I can certainly see the likes of Elizabeth cutting silhouettes of her secret love Darcy.  (Sorry but I just love Pride & Prejudice).

It will be a great day for a picnic and there will be many Edwardian themed events in the house and grounds. To find out more visit: http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-vh/w-visits/w-findaplace/w-polesdenlacey.
